Background and Disappearance
Phoenix lived with her parents in Spanish Lake, Missouri, and was last seen on December 18, 2011, when she left home driving her black 1998 Chevrolet Blazer. According to her family, she left unexpectedly without telling anyone where she was going and without taking many of her personal belongings.
Later that afternoon, her vehicle was found abandoned on a residential street in East St. Louis, Illinois, approximately 25 miles from her home. The SUV showed no obvious signs of foul play, but Phoenix was nowhere to be found.
Her family reported her missing after realizing she had not returned home and had stopped communicating with them.
