Platform Updates & New Archive Features

A lot has changed across The CaseDive recently, and I wanted to take a moment to share some of the new additions.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve continued expanding the structure of the archive and research system, including:

• new case groups

• updated case cards and visual organization

• archive preservation status indicators

• expanded timeline and research tools

Important Update: Case Material Submissions & Archive Organization

The CaseDive now has a centralized “Submit Case Materials” system available across case groups. These are located in every group on a pinned post.

Going forward, documents, screenshots, PDFs, timelines, records, and other research materials should be submitted through the new “Submit Case Materials” button rather than posted directly into discussion feeds whenever possible.

Why we’re making this change:

As the archive grows, organization and long-term research accessibility become increasingly important.

This new system helps:

• reduce duplicate uploads

A small but meaningful update to The CaseDive.

  • A new Missing Persons page is now live. It serves as a visual entry point into active and historical cases, allowing you to explore and connect directly to structured case discussions. Each profile links into a shared space where information, timelines, and ongoing conversation are organized in one place.

  • We’ve also added a new Research Resources page, bringing together official databases, case archives, and tools for deeper investigation in one place.

  • Alongside that, the main navigation has been updated with dropdowns, making it easier to access pages that were previously a bit more tucked away.

As always, the goal is to keep things clear, accessible, and easy to explore. I hope you find these updates useful as you explore and work through cases here.

We now have a CaseDive app!

The CaseDive just got a little easier to take with you.

You can check your case feed, read community articles, post in your groups, browse active cases, and chat with other members all in one place. If you ever need anything, you can also reach out directly through the app.

It’s the same structured, research-focused space just more accessible, wherever you are.

Still early, still growing but now a bit more connected.

📝 Possible New Addition: Community Articles

We're thinking of adding a blog-style section where researchers and writers in the community can publish case-focused articles. Not quick takes or reactions but more structured, thoughtful write-ups. Timelines, deep dives, theory breakdowns, or even perspective pieces that are grounded in research.

It would be to give space to feature some of our community members and the cases they are working on and be public to anyone visiting the site.

This would stay aligned with everything else here: organized, respectful and focused on the case.

Before building anything out, I wanted to see if there’s interest from people who would actually want to contribute.

If that’s you...whether you already write or have been wanting a place to, drop a comment below.
