Current Case Status
The murders of Michael, Marcy, and Jennifer Jacobs remain unsolved.
More than three decades after the killings occurred on January 14, 1991, investigators continue to seek information that could help identify the person or persons responsible. The case has been reviewed multiple times as investigative techniques and forensic technology have advanced.
In 2018, the Sacramento Police Department and the California Attorney General's Office announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murders.
Despite ongoing public interest and periodic reviews of the case, no arrests have been made and no suspect has been publicly charged in connection with the murders.
